Back to authors / Regresa a autores	Ernest M. Garza was born (February 12, 1948) and raised in San Antonio, Texas. He was a writer and a poet, often using his Mexican American culture as a background for his works. He was a member of Alamo Writer's Unlimited, and served as President 1995-2000. He published his stories and poetry in such publications as Vista Magazine, San Antonio Express-News, The Whole Enchilada, A Fountain of Words, Voices Along the River, Revista de Victoria, The Red Palm, and on the Internet at Latino Link (now defunct). He died March, 2004. Ernest M. Garza nació el 12 de febrero 1948 en San Antonio, Tejas. Fue escritor y poeta, muchas veces utilizando su cultura México-Americana como fondo para sus obras. Él era integrante de Alamo Writers Unlimited, y ejerció como presidente de tal organización de 1995 hasta 2000. Publico sus cuentos y poesía en publicaciones como Vista Magazine, San Antonio Express-News, The Whole Enchilada, A Fountain of Words, Voices Along the River, Revista de Victora, The Red Palm, y en el Internet en Latino Link ( ya caducado). Ernest murió en marzo de 2004.
